About

Corinne Coughenour
Corinne excelled in school from an early age, first at New Gulph Children’s Center and then at The Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont. She matriculated at Yale in 1996, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies in 2000. At Yale, she was a proud member of Ezra Stiles College and the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She also met her classmate and future husband, Mike Falencki. Corinne married Mike in 2001 just before entering law school.
Corinne attended George Washington University Law School, where she earned a Juris Doctor with honors in 2004. She was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar at GW and the Managing Editor of The George Washington International Law Review, for which she authored Sarbanes-Oxley: Ignoring the Presumption Against Extraterritoriality, 36 Geo. Wash. Int’l L. Rev. 1211 (2004).
Corinne spent the majority of her professional career in the legal field, first as a paralegal at Montgomery McCracken in Philadelphia, then as a Litigation Associate at McKenna Long and Aldridge in Washington DC. After two years at McKenna, Corinne accepted a position at Bryan Cave, helping to represent both Fred Thompson and John McCain’s presidential campaigns as part of the firm’s election law practice. She was a member of the Maryland and the DC Bar.
Corinne left a positive mark on those she met throughout her life. She was a “people” person, loving to interact with others and always smiling.
She is survived by her parents Glenn and Kathy, who still reside in Bryn Mawr, and her younger brother Evan and his wife Liz, who currently live in San Francisco.
